Two killed in stabbings in Dutch city

Two people have died and a number of others have been wounded in two stabbing incidents in the southern Dutch city of Maastricht.

Police in the southern province of Limburg said investigations are under way into the two incidents on Thursday night.

Local media reported that the incidents happened in a residential neighbourhood in the north of Maastricht, a city 133 miles south of Amsterdam.
