Two suffer bruises in bull run

Thousands of people have run through the narrow streets of the northern Spanish city of Pamplona alongside six fighting bulls in a speedy but goring-free third bull run of the San Fermin festival.

Navarra Hospital chief Javier Sesma said two people were taken to city hospitals suffering from bruises after the hectic event which lasted just under three minutes.

The run is televised nationally and sees thrill-seekers race with fighting bulls and their guiding steers along a 930-yard (850m) route from a holding pen to Pamplona's bull ring.

The nine-day street festival became world famous with the 1926 publication of Ernest Hemingway's novel The Sun Also Rises. It attracts tens of thousands of foreigners each year.
