Woman who couldn't pay fine forced to have abortion

China’s strict one-child rule has sparked international outrage again after a women from Shaanxi province was forced to have an abortion in her seven month of pregnancy.

A photo showing the aborted foetus has shocked China web users with some people saying those who forced the woman, who has been traumatised by the cruel enforcement, should be executed.

Feng Jiamei was forced into the abortion as she could not pay the fine for having a second child, US-based activists said but Beijing has denied the atrocity.

"Feng Jianmei's story demonstrates how the One-Child Policy continues to sanction violence against women every day," said Chai Ling of the US-based activist group All Girls Allowed.
