Youth arrested in connection with Markets public disorder

Detectives from Musgrave have arrested a male youth in relation to public disorder in the Markets area of Belfast on Monday August 7.

The young person is required to attend a youth engagement clinic where they will be informed about what the Public Prosecution Service has decided for their case.

Earlier this month additional police patrols were deployed to the nationalist area of the city following attacks on police officers, cars and property.

The disturbance began after materials were removed from an anti-internment bonfire.
