This is the summer graduation season at Queen's and the UU, and we think of afternoon tea and strawberries and cream.

This is a most enjoyable experience, but it comes after years of hard work, and perhaps scrimping at times.

However, nearly all students depend on the backing of their families and friends and their teachers to complete the course.

They should be congratulated too.

This is a great showcasing of local talent, but it is hoped that a large number of students can find jobs here and give back something to our society, which helped them achieve the degrees in the first place.
