City's bravery shows why terrorists will never win

The 22 victims of the Manchester Arena atrocity were remembered yesterday on the first anniversary of that terrible event.

The people of Northern Ireland know only too well the pain caused to innocent people by such an outrage and the Manchester victims and their families have our sympathies.

There is also great admiration for the resilience of people who have come through so much and have inspired all of us with their collective and individual bravery.

They bear witness to the fact that the terrorists must never have the last word.

The memory of the courage of the people of Manchester lives on.
