They say a pet can sometimes be a reflection of its owner. In that case, stand well back.
I was mortified when my beloved big cat was diagnosed with gingivitis, rotting teeth and being overweight during his annual check-up with the vet.
Pants (yes, that really is his name. Honestly not my fault...) wasn't the slightest bit embarrassed by the scathing assessment.
But he's not laughing now he's on a strict diet that doesn't include his favourite gourmet duck.
