What's not to like about classy George?

He might not be the ideal boyfriend - though I wouldn't kick him off my wham bam weekend break list (what do you mean you don't have one?), but in every other way, George Clooney is as good a man as a Hollywood A-lister with a ridiculously handsome face could be.

This week he's been laughing off the gay rumours which have followed him around all his unmarried life (they didn't come up much when he actually was married), displaying his usual classy good sense.

Where so many big stars consistently deny such rumours (and some of them are lying) Clooney says: "The last thing you'll ever see me do is jump up and down, saying, 'These are lies!' I'm not going to let anyone make it seem like being gay is a bad thing. Who does it hurt if someone thinks I'm gay?"

He's a righteous, funny, beautiful man. No wonder both genders want a piece of him.
