Titanic tribute to much-loved dad

By Claire Harrison

Well done to the Duffy sisters from Magherafelt, who have managed to sell out Titanic Belfast to host a fundraiser in memory of their much-missed dad.

The girls will be getting on their glad rags tomorrow night to see all their hard work come to fruition at Forget Me Not – The Patsy Duffy Memorial Benefit (

Along with mum Janette, they have put months of organisation into the glittering event, to be attended by Jimmy Nesbitt, Sarah Travers and Fiona Phillips, who each understand too well what the family went through after Patsy was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. The family's aim is to raise a whopping £50,000 in aid of Alzheimer's Research UK and the Alzheimer's Society.

If anyone can hit the £50,000 mark, the Duffy girls can – five more enthusiastic and passionate women you will never meet.
