How eBay is selling us short

By Gail Walker

According to eBay, there’s a rush on short skirts just before the weather gets warmer. What does this mean?

Is eBay the new Met Office? Is it that women can count among their many talents some secret skill to forecast good weather?

Or, in fact, can they make the weather change such is the power of the girlie pound?

Or is that just one big advertisement from eBay saying something like ‘we’ve got vast stocks of short skirts, it’s the start of June, please somebody buy them before the summer’s out’?

I think it’s the latter option. Don’t you?
