I loved my time on The Apprentice, but when I hear of the horrible experiences some of The X Factor contestants had, my heart goes out to them

In the past few weeks, we have witnessed several contestants from The X Factor come out publicly to slam the show. Ex-contestants claimed that they were mistreated and the behind the scenes atmosphere was often hostile and difficult for the talent involved.

From my own experience on The Apprentice, I was fortunate to have a positive time. Obviously with any reality TV programme, there are elements of production ensuring that storylines are translated to the viewer. However on the BBC show, I didn't feel like there was anything sinister with the show's team. Sure, there are scenes you might need to reshoot because of audio issues and tasks which can be draining but I felt like the production team was respectful to the candidates on my series.
