I'm feeling heat on energy bills

by Lindy McDowell

Last summer I don't remember a day when I didn't have the heating on for at least a couple of hours. From August, September onwards it was pretty much necessary several hours per day.

Over the winter it was on full boot. This summer, by contrast, I've hardly had it on at all.

Even by October I was only starting to use it a couple of hours a day. Think of the saving! Or not, as it turns out...

I've just got my bill for the incoming year. This informs me of how much more I'll now have to pay per month for heating costs.

How? Why? You just can't win...
