My rock cakes take the biscuit
I know I'm coming very late to the party but I've just discovered the sugar-coated addictive joys of the Great British Bake Off, co-hosted by Mary Berry.
I'm always been a sucker for a baked good of any kind but now I have an overwhelming urge to stick on a pinny and flour up.
That is until I remember the one attempt I've ever had at baking – a batch of rock hard scones that didn't quite kill anyone but weren't in demand either.
Perhaps I'll stick to the mass consumption of someone else's biscuits, buns and tarts instead.
