Retailer gets a dressing down

did you hear about Asda having to remove one of its Halloween costumes because it was described as a 'Mental Patient' outfit and consisted of a bloody straitjacket and meat cleaver? (Sometimes you wonder if ANY human beings work in the quality control section of big organisations anymore).

It caused an outcry from mental health charities and it highlights how much social attitudes have changed towards language use. For example, time was we might have referred to our local politicians as zombies but I'm sure if we were to do that now, we'd be inundated with complaints... from zombies.
