The Lord’s Ascension into Heaven is celebrated by many Christians this weekend. This is a mystery that fills us with wonder. As St Augustine said, “let our hearts ascend with Him”.

There is the old saying, “home is where the heart is”. The heart of a Christian must be already in the heavenly homeland (Philippians 3:20-21), even though we are still on our earthly pilgrimage.
