Agency's new campaign will give men food for thought
In essence healthy living advice boils down to two phrases, move more and eat less. We are all aware of whether or not we take enough exercise, but how much is a healthy diet? Women, it seems, are better informed than men on their recommended daily calorie intake.
It is self evident that if men do not know how many calories they should ingest each day, then they don't know whether their diet is healthy or heading them towards obesity.
The Food Standards Agency is doing us all a service by launching a campaign to make us more aware of how much we should be eating. Clearer and simpler labelling of food would also help us keep track of our daily calorie intake.
