Andrea's masterclass on how to manage stage and study

Editor's Viewpoint

Tyrone girl Andrea Begley could have been forgiven for letting fame go to her head after winning The Voice.

However, she realised that the pop world can be a fickle place and concentrated on finishing her Masters degree in Law and Governance. That was a remarkable achievement in itself, given that she is only partially sighted and relied on a support worker to complete her studies.

Her's is a good lesson for any young person attracted to the glamour of shows like The Voice or X Factor. Andrea knows she has a potentially rewarding career in reserve if ever the music dies. In the meantime she has a full diary of singing engagements including one on the night she picks up her degree.

She is a star both on and off stage and we wish her continued success.
