Author's experience sums up the miracle of our NHS
Londonderry author Claire Allan has summed up the NHS perfectly - it isn't perfect, but it is amazing. And she should know, after a recent terrifying experience which had her fearing she was having a heart attack, maybe even a fatal one. Thankfully that was not the case, but not only did she receive exceptional care - totally free - but also reassurance at every stage from when the paramedics arrived at her home until she was discharged from hospital.
We should never take the NHS for granted, especially here, where it is operating at below capacity because of the absence of political leadership.
Staff perform miracles every day, and that is a miracle.
