Charity triumph

The story of Anon Sermsin, the young boy orphaned in Thailand by the 2004 tsunami who has now graduated from university thanks to the generosity of Northern Ireland people who funded his education, is truly inspiring. It shows that helping hands from across the world can really make a difference when life seems at rock bottom.

The charity, Willie's Orphan Fund, based in Coleraine, is helping some 70 young people access housing, food and education.

The charity has helped many young people triumph over tragedy and deserves our admiration and support for its selfless work.
