Charles and Camilla are always welcome visitors
There is little doubt that Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, have a love of Northern Ireland, having been here five times in the last five years. The couple have also been frequent visitors across the border, where they began their latest trip on Monday.
Time seems to have mellowed the prince, who those who meet him regard as good fun, and much of that credit must go to Camilla. Their visit to Fermanagh yesterday showed the range of their interests, from the National Trust to the Big Lunch funded by the National Lottery.
Their patronage is invaluable and the benefit it brings is often overlooked.
