Christmas Eve burglary gang beneath contempt

Editor's Viewpoint

It was a truly dastardly crime that makes one wonder about the repugnant evil that must exist within some people.

Raiders broke into a house in Keady on Christmas Eve, stole children's presents and practically wrecked every other item they could not remove.

It was not only heartless theft, but also wanton, senseless destruction. Somebody, somewhere must know who they are, and there should be no hiding place for them.

People who can destroy Christmas for a family already grieving after losing their father are capable of anything.

They should be identified to police so that justice can take its course, preferably seeing them put behind bars.
