Decision to ban off-licence cat would drive you to drink
It is entirely proper that any complaint made to a council's environmental health department should be followed up. That is what happened when someone complained about a cat which frequented bar in Portadown but the inspector found no reason to take any action.
However the cat is now being evicted because of another threatened complaint. Cats are famously fastidious about their cleanliness and barely tolerate human interaction except when it is to their advantage.
This feline certainly posed no health hazard according to the owner of the premises and the vast majority of his customers. The whingeing complainant, however, would drive people to drink.
