Editor's Viewpoint: A fitting tribute

There was only one result that mattered at Windsor Park last night when Manchester United played an Irish League team in the Harry Gregg testimonial game.

That was that thousands turned out to see what is still a champion club pay homage to one of its finest ever former players.

Gregg was not only once the best goalkeeper in the world, but a real life hero for rescuing a number of team-mates and other passengers in the 1958 Munich air disaster. This giant of a man deserved every tribute paid to him last night.
