Editor's Viewpoint: A golden day for Harry Redknapp

Tottenham Hotspurs' manager Harry Redknapp had a golden day yesterday, firstly cleared by a jury of charges of tax evasion, and then learning that England manager Fabio Capello had resigned as the row over the axing of Chelsea's John Terry as captain of the national team continued to escalate.

Redknapp is everyone's favourite to take over as manager of the England team - the only question now seems to be when.

The other side of the coin, of course, is that the England vacancy is a concern for Tottenham. The club is enjoying its best season for many years and Redknapp is credited with creating a team capable of challenging for major honours. If he leaves can the club find another manager with his golden touch?
