Editor's Viewpoint: A real clean sweep
The residents of Loughgall have every right to feel proud after again winning Northern Ireland's Best Kept Town award.
For the award is due to the work of practically everyone in the village who ensure that it consistently looks its best. That is community spirit at its best, a virtue seen all too seldom nowadays.
Praise is also due to the other award winners in the competition, Ballycastle, Broughshane, Coleraine, Dungiven and Dungannon, whose residents also displayed their civic pride by making their towns attractive rather than an eyesore. Their efforts should spur us all to make an extra effort to brighten up our towns and villages and, maybe, make them winners next year.
