Editor's Viewpoint: A snapshot in time

With newspaper headlines often featuring civil unrest or dissident republican terrorism, it is easy to forget that for the overwhelming majority of people in Northern Ireland life is as normal as any other part of the UK.

The special One Summer's Day supplement in this newspaper today captures the essentially happy times they enjoy during the holiday months.

But more than that, our readers' photographs give a snapshot of the province in 2010.
