Editor's Viewpoint: Actor Charlie's health scare a timely warning for us all
It is sad to hear Northern Ireland actor Charlie Lawson, who plays Jim McDonald in the ITV soap Coronation Street, suffered a mini-stroke while on stage in Edinburgh recently.
Fortunately he received proper medical attention and will soon be back to full fitness to continue his demanding profession on stage and screen. His sudden illness was a timely warning to others ahead of World Stroke Day, but it is good to know that with medical advances, allied to timely interventions, people can make a good recovery.
It also shows, however, that we cannot be too careful or take the basic things for granted. Good health is the key to a fulfilling life.
