Editor's Viewpoint: Basking in the sun

When we put the clocks back in Northern Ireland each year, as we did this weekend, the wintry conditions usually continue for a few weeks.

Happily, however, it is different this year, with temperatures almost breaking a 47-year record for March, and the figure of 21C in Ballykelly was hotter than in parts of southern Europe. The warm weather is scheduled to stay with us for a while, and although a few good days (like a few swallows) do not necessarily make a summer, we have started in the right direction. Perhaps we can look forward, at last, to a summer to remember?
