Editor's Viewpoint: Community support a light in the darkness for Dorrian family
The Dorrian family has suffered immensely since teenager Lisa disappeared after a party in 2005.
Earlier this month their uninsured home was destroyed in an accidental blaze, but their faith in humanity was restored after the local community rallied round to raise thousands of pounds and local tradesmen volunteered to rebuild their property. It was a dramatic and uplifting response from a huge range of people who have all been moved by the plight of the family.
It is often when times seem at their darkest that a beacon of hope shines out, and all those who donated funds, materials or their time deserve huge thanks.
