Editor's Viewpoint: Cream of the crop

With 54 teams from 19 countries competing, the Milk Cup is one of Northern Ireland's greatest exports.

It shows the true face of the province to young people and their mentors from all around the world, and there is no doubt that this positive word of mouth is the real reason why the competition continues to prosper.

Opened this year by a past soccer legend, Pat Jennings, and a current golf one, Graeme McDowell, it is the soccer showcase for future stars of the game. Some of the biggest names in the sport have graced the pitches around Coleraine in their youth, and no doubt this year another star will be born. Good enough reason to take in some of the matches.
