Tyrone would-be entrepreneur Jacqueline McKay got a tough introduction to the world of big business when her cherished invention of a travel cot was mauled on the BBC’s Dragons’ Den.
She learned valuable lessons though on how to make a professional presentation and on possible tweaks to her product.
Though she left without Dragon backing, she displayed courage in the face of hard questioning. Most of all she showed the type of inventive spirit needed to boost Northern Ireland’s private sector. Even the great inventors had their critics on occasion. One day she could have the last laugh.
