Editor's Viewpoint: Dunlop photos a poignant tribute to life of William Dunlop
The photographs carried in this newspaper today charting various stages and aspects of the life of William Dunlop are a marvellous record of an unassuming young man who was taken from us all too soon.
He had inherited the skill of his father and uncle and a love of racing on road circuits.
The images were captured by talented photographer Stephen Davison, who formed a close friendship with the Dunlop family in good times and bad. They mean a lot to Stephen, and the one showing Robert Dunlop with his three sons is especially poignant, given the tragedies that followed. These photographs are his tribute to William.
