Editor's Viewpoint: Festival's fun for all

Certainly the arts are alive and well in Northern Ireland and few places of similar size can boast so many festivals.

The Belfast Festival at Queen's was for many years the sole standard-bearer for the arts and it still puts together a programme which is the envy of many.

Be it music, art, opera or invigorating speakers, the festival has something for everyone. Only a complete Philistine could carp at the range of events on offer and, while some may verge towards the esoteric, it is an opportunity to enjoy some culture that is not readily available at other times of the year. Grab a programme and book your seat.
