Editor's Viewpoint: Gardener Adam is king of the castle with his new role
It is said that people with "green fingers" have a special gift for gardening, and that certainly applies to Adam Ferguson, who is only 23.
Already he has won a gold medal in a world competition, and he has been appointed as Hillsborough Castle's first Walled Garden Keeper in centuries.
He has to recreate an 18th century walled garden as part of a £20m makeover for the castle, which is to open to the public next year.
Adam started selling plants when he was only eight, so he has much experience to start creating a 'wow' garden for the expected 200,000 visitors next year. We wish him (and the garden) well.
