The ghost train at Barry's Amusements in Portrush has been frightening generations of families, but now it is being revamped in a bid to increase the ghoul factor. This is not a simple task as it has to appeal to all ages without traumatising children or causing heart attacks to their parents.
Even in today's technologically advanced world the frights of the traditional fairground attraction continue to weave their addictive spell on customers. The owners of the amusements are hoping that the new gargoyles and other ghouls will continue to entice customers into parting with their cash in the hope of being scared out of their wits.
