Editor's Viewpoint: Heroes march on
After being derided before jetting out to New Zealand, the Irish rugby players are now the darlings of the sporting public.
They have played magnificently throughout the group stages of the World Cup and now face old foes Wales for a place in the semi-final, where another Six Nations team would await them.
The team, in which the Ulster players have been outstanding, have grown in belief and now could be serious contenders. However, wisely, they have played down such talk, concentrating solely on each game as it comes. So far that has been a winning tactic and let us hope that it continues for at least two more games
