Editor's Viewpoint: Hollie's story proof of how successful fostering can be
As another 250 foster families are being sought in Northern Ireland over the next 12 months, there could not be a better poster girl for this vital service than Hollie George.
Fostered by Strabane couple Trevor and Heather 15 years ago at the age of nine, she is an exemplary young woman, having been deputy head girl of her school, a graduate of Ulster University and now enjoying an exciting career.
She accepts she was given a great chance in life by her foster parents but she grabbed it with both hands and thoroughly deserves her award for her contribution to fostering. Could you give other children that same opportunity?
