Editor's Viewpoint: Inspirational sisters prove dream job is within reach
Our story today of the three sisters who have achieved a long-held ambition to go to university and gain qualifications for valuable professions should prove an inspiration to all of us who feel life got in the way of what we really wanted to do.
All three of them left school in their teens, but later completed a university access course in their 30s after having 11 children between them.
They admit family support was vital in helping them achieve their dream, but central to it all was their own determination. Access courses at their local regional college signposted the way, showing there is more than one route to success, no matter your age.
