Slieve Gullion in Co Armagh is one of the most beautiful places in the province but the area lacks a signature piece of infrastructure to entice tourists into the area and to stay.

That is about to change with the opening of a brand new hotel, spa and wellness development that also brings Killeavy Castle and estate back into positive use.

It is encouraging to see that an expat construction magnate is behind the development, aided by substantial funding from Invest NI.

Together they have provided a facility that will draw people to the area and also provide employment - a double bonus for the community.
