Editor's Viewpoint: On the right road

First it was "Hands Across The Divide", but this highly commendable theme took on a new dimension at the weekend with the "Race To Embrace" in the Shankill and Falls Road areas of Belfast.

Led by personalities from soccer, GAA and other sports, hundreds of people from both main communities in Northern Ireland joined in a charity Fun Run, and for the best of motives.

Both the Shankill and the Falls have known times of great trouble, but it is most important and gratifying to underline the good news of such a shared objective.

This was another clear example of people from all backgrounds moving purposefully along the right path.
