Editor's Viewpoint: Restoration of cottage is a fitting tribute to Rosie
Creighton Hutchinson's restoration of a modest little house once occupied by the housekeeper on his family farm in Kilrea is a wonderful tribute to a woman he adored when growing up. He spent many happy hours playing in Rosie McAtamney's house and although she died 30 years ago he never forgot her.
The story is even more incredible because Creighton has Parkinson's Disease and underwent revolutionary treatment to control the tremors. Now his wife Pearl plans to write a book about Rosie's cottage and her husband's treatment to help raise funds to have it made available in Northern Ireland. It will be a book well worth reading.
