Editor's Viewpoint: Spirit of generosity shines as public rally to Jenny's aid
This newspaper has already publicised the story of Jenny Gartland, the plucky Fermanagh woman faced with an £18,000 bill to buy her own prosthetic leg after having a private emergency amputation.
A fundraising campaign has raised almost £7,000 towards this target, and Jenny has been moved to tears by people's generosity.
She still needs another £12,000, so the fundraising needs to continue to help this remarkable young woman on her road to recovery.
There is no doubt she will get there. Even in these times of belt-tightening, the people of Ulster and further afield continue to show their generosity.
