Editor's Viewpoint: Student's letter to MLAs speaks for every one of us
It has taken an 18-year-old student to say very publicly what many people in Northern Ireland feel about the continuing impasse at Stormont, which has seen the province without a functioning devolved administration for more than two years.
Katie Graden Spence has written an open letter to the stay-away MLAs, urging them to return to work, and in the directness of youth has proposed that a date should be set for new talks to resume, with anyone who refuses to take part being forced to resign.
Whatever about the legislative niceties of such a proposal, it sums up the frustration the majority of people feel, but which they decline to articulate clearly.
