Editor's Viewpoint: There's nothing entertaining about loss of life on Titanic
It is not being overly-sensitive to find disturbing the idea of the sinking of the Titanic being used for entertainment.
This was one of the worst maritime disasters in history, with more than 1,500 people perishing when the ship was lost more than a century ago. The liner, like all vessels which went down with loss of life, is a grave.
Many people will feel the creation of a Titanic 'escape room' in a Belfast entertainment complex is trampling on those graves. It may seem an attractive commercial theme to those behind the idea, but it is really rather distasteful.
We should remember this tragedy with due respect, especially given the doomed vessel's association with the city.
