Editor's Viewpoint: Time to catch Roy

It's a long time since comedian Roy Walker was a new face, but the Northern Ireland man has suddenly got a new lease of fame.

Having faded from the public eye somewhat since his tenure on game show Catchphrase, he is now something of a cult figure thanks to university speaking engagements and his radio work.

And he will be a headline act at the Out of Lunch festival in his native Belfast next year, showing that you cannot keep a good man down. His original material and deadpan delivery made him a popular stand-up in his heyday and his account of those times will be an event worth going to.
