Celebrated chef Jean-Christophe Novelli, who has a restaurant on the Lagan waterfront, knows all too well the value of the often maligned National Health Service.
For his infant son was diagnosed with neuroblastoma at just six weeks old back in 2017 and had to undergo aggressive chemotherapy treatment to save his life. The little boy is currently in remission.
To Jean-Christophe, the NHS is wonderful and he took part in a celebrity reality programme in the hope of winning money to donate to the organisation which he says is beyond compare when set against the health service in his native France. He makes a compelling case for more funding for the NHS.
