Editor's Viewpoint: Ulster players stepped up to mark in Ireland's victory

Editor's Viewpoint

Ulster players made a significant contribution to Ireland's historic win over the rugby union world champions the All-Blacks in Dublin on Saturday evening, the first such victory on Irish soil.

All the home squad, including those from the bench, deserve recognition for this supreme achievement, and none more so than our own Rory Best, who has the rare distinction of captaining Ireland in the only two victories we have ever had over the All Blacks.

Jacob Stockdale's marvellous try consolidated Ireland's winning margin, but the expectation levels for this team will now be sky-high. This is a sport where winners take all.
