Editor's Viewpoint: UTV man shows we mustn't be complacent over health
UTV's political editor Ken Reid has been through two health scares in recent years and has taken the opportunity to speak out about his experiences to warn others to keep a close check on how they are feeling.
Ken, who has diabetes, ignored a problem with his foot and that nearly led to part of his leg being amputated. He took that lesson to heart and when another problem arose he sought medical help immediately, and that saved his life.
Ken was diagnosed with leukaemia. Thankfully his medical problems are being managed and his candid account should be taken note of. Never ignore health problems, it could cost you your life.
