Editor's Viewpoint: Victory on call

Once again they answered ‘Ireland’s Call’ and the magnificent Irish squad |overcame Wales with comparative ease on Saturday to set up a possible Triple Crown title by beating Scotland in Dublin next week.

Gone are the days when Irish supporters rejoiced when their team won any international by any means.

Now the Irish are expected to win with style, which they have done this year — apart from a drubbing by the French.

It would be fitting to end the rugby team’s tenure at the impressive Croke Park next week with a Triple Crown.

However, the campaign will not be over until the final whistle, and caution must remain the order of the day.
