Editor's Viewpoint: Welcome return to airwaves for BBC's Conor after illness
Like many people who have never experienced a serious illness until later in life, BBC presenter Conor Bradford found it hard to accept when he was diagnosed with hepatitis C.
The illness kept him off the airwaves for a year, puzzling his colleagues and listeners, who were unaware of what exactly was wrong.
While it did not produce a life-changing attitude in Conor, it made him think more about the things that matter in life and produced a more rounded appreciation of them.
Cutting-edge drugs helped restore him to health and it is good to hear him back on the radio using his formidable interview technique to put his guests through their paces.
